was great and to have a spectacular display like this while he was up for the Christmas/New Years break was pretty cool. The lightning got fairly active after this.
No false colour edit here. This is pretty much spot on. It was an extremely intense glow. One of those rare occasions where everything times just perfect. It was raining steadily from a scud overhead, but nothing too bad. I certainly didn't let it stop me shooting the unreal scene that would soon unfold before us.
