Taken out on the Bald Hill opal fields, Lightning Ridge N.S.W. on the 24.12.16 at 8:46pm EDST.
This storm was sitting around 20 Kilometres Northwest of town and one of several large, highly active storm cells building all around my location here. It is often a blessing and a curse when you have multiple active storms in all directions at once as it's often the case that you just never know which one to concentrate on. In this case, I just had to get something from this particular cell as it was sitting perfectly positioned against the setting Sun and still offering a touch of nice background colour. Also a bit of cool looking RFB structure to be seen when lit up periodically. Good to have Venus showing nicely in the partially clear skies above the storm here too.
