Taken at Lightning Ridge N.S.W. on the 01.12.07 at 10:36pm I took this photo out on the plains SW of Lightning Ridge. This storm was surely an LP Supercell. The wall cloud and associated rotational indicators were a sure give away. One of the best nights storm chasing I've had so far! I think this photo is right up there with my all time favorite lightning photos!
A real lightening strike!!! Not some shitty fake job. You definitely struck lucky in getting that and you obviously know your stuff. Fair play to you. This is a fine specimen of nature acting at it's most spectacular.

Yeah I can humbly say it was one of the best storms I have seen lightning frequency-wise and structure-wise in seven years of photographing weather.
I haven't seen anything like it since. Supercells like this are rare out here due to the sheer lack of atmospheric moisture. Hopefully this Summer I may see something similar come through
